Bugfix published Monday, 27 February 2012 21:47

Thanks to JPodium user Daniel Gonzalez a major bug was discovered and is fixed in the meantime. There were some code parts left from an extended version. This causes some backend views to crash.

PLEASE update.

JPodium for Joomla! 2.5 Sunday, 26 February 2012 14:00

I know it took a long time until the JPodium version for Joomla! 2.5 was available. But better late then never.

The whole website including the manual pages are not updated. This will follow when time allows.

ATTENTION: component version updated to 1.0.1 - BUGFIX

Losing is an option Monday, 04 October 2010 21:00 You can not always win. Sometimes you decide not to start, sometimes you have to give up. And in some cases you might get disqualified. All that happens in sports and all that should be part of a complete results database.
JPodium will support this "special results" in the next release.
New portrait page available Saturday, 02 October 2010 13:00

The portrait page was included in JPodium several months ago and it was mostly empty during all this time. This has changed now. Have a look at the extended view and see all major athletes data displayed in a facts table.

Several parameters allow full customization of your view. You can e.g. decide whether or not to show the birthdate or other individual entries of your profile database.

Time handling implemented Sunday, 19 September 2010 11:19

Time handling in result tables and sorting results based on time values was the most important feature request for JPodium in the past.

The latest version 0.9.017 makes a huge step forward now. The time column is part of all result tables, it can be switched on and off and in the stagerace views all results are calculated based on the time.

Welcome to JPodium

Joomla!Day Deutschland 2011, 02.-03.09.2011, Hamburg, Deutschland

JPodium is a Joomla! component to manage and display sports results. The intended use is to keep track of race results for e.g. a cycling club portal. Of course it is not fixed to any kind of sports but more to a certain structure of race results. This means that every athlete has a class (e.g. age class like "Master") attached and the results are listed per race in this classes.

From cycling results to JPodium

JPodium was initially designed several years ago as a Nuke module and used for years on a portal for a cycling club. After the migration of the whole site to Joomla! it was necessary to migrate the results management as well. We could not find any component that matched our requirements and decided to make use of the old principle.

Same principle - more functionality

As Joomla! provides a feature rich framework especially in the admin backend the component has an easy-to-use interface for site admins. The databases for athletes, races, results, seasons, classes and heats can all be accessed via the backend. The frontend is in this early development stages a plain list of results. It can be shown either per race with a list of athletes divided in classes or per athlete with all results stored for the individual sportsman.
