The country plugin supports the display of a country flag in different sizes or the IOC code for a country selected by the ISO 3166-2 code. In general the plugin code used has the format

jpocountry iso=...|type=..

Displaying flags in different sizes

Mandatory parameters

• iso: the ISO 3166-2 code of the requested country
• type:flag - displays a flag, ioccode - shows the IOC code, e.g. GER for Germany, nocname - shows the country name like used in the NOC. All country names are translated if a language file exists.

Optional parameters

• size: 16|24|32 - defaulted to 16 when missing or invalid

The optional parameters are optional, this means it is not necessary to use them with the value 0 if e.g. the size of 16 is fine. The sequence is not fixed, only the spelling is required as stated above.

Examples of valid plugin codes

• jpocountry iso=de|type=flag - displays the flag for Germany in 16px -
• jpocountry iso=de|type=ioccode - displays the IOC code for Germany - GER
• jpocountry iso=de|type=nocname - displays the country name for Germany - Germany
• jpocountry iso=us|type=flag|size=24 - displays the flag for the United States in 24px -
• jpocountry iso=nl|type=flag|size=32 - displays the flag for the Netherlands in 32px -

This is a demonstration of the country plugin. It includes country flags like this one in an article or a results table based on the ISO code of the country. The flag icons are available in three (later five) different sizes (e.g. 16pixels: or 24pixels: ) and the size can be selected in the plugin code. The codes used in international sports events as defined by the IOC are available as well.

Actual versions of JPodium include support for this plugin in result tables.
